Sapphire FUE. One follicle at a time, sapphire blades for every channel.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) harvests follicular units one by one, with no strip of skin removed and no linear scarring. In our version the implant channels are opened with sapphire blades: cleaner micro-incisions, less trauma to the tissue, faster healing.
Six phases, a single session.
- 01
Assessment and design
We analyse the scalp and the donor area, set the number of grafts and draw the hairline before touching a single follicle.
- 02
Local anaesthesia
Both donor and recipient areas are anaesthetised locally. You stay awake and feel no pain throughout the procedure.
- 03
Extraction
We harvest the follicular units one by one with a very small micro-punch, selecting the most suitable follicles and leaving the donor area intact.
- 04
Sapphire channel opening
We open the micro-channels with sapphire blades, respecting the natural angle and direction of the hair. The finer, sharper tip reduces trauma and speeds up healing.
- 05
Implantation
We place each follicle into its channel, calibrating density and distribution so the result looks even even up close.
- 06
Dressing and instructions
We apply the dressing and explain, in person and in writing, what to do in the following days.
- PROCEDURE LENGTH
6 – 8 HRS
Depending on the number of grafts. A single session, local anaesthesia.
- ANAESTHESIA
LOCAL
You stay awake and feel no pain. No general anaesthesia.
- BACK IN PUBLIC
10 DAYS
The scabs fall off on their own. After about ten days it's unnoticeable.
- FINAL RESULT
12 MONTHS
Growth is gradual. The final shape shows from the ninth month.
What sapphire changes.
- —
No linear scar
Unlike strip harvesting (FUT), FUE leaves no visible marks. The donor area stays covered by hair.
- —
Sapphire blades
Sapphire-tipped micro-incisions are more precise and less traumatic than steel: more intact tissue, smaller scabs, faster healing.
- —
Natural result
Angle and density calibrated follicle by follicle. The border with your existing hair is invisible.
- —
Fast recovery
You're back to everyday life within a few days, with no sutures to remove.
- —
For men and women
Suitable both for extensive baldness and for targeted density, regardless of gender.
When it makes sense, when it doesn't.
The decisive factor is always the donor area: without healthy follicles to harvest, no technique works miracles. We tell you before the consultation, not after you've signed a deposit.
- Stable androgenetic hair loss, with shedding now settled
- Donor area with adequate density and follicle quality
- Localised thinning, a receded hairline or diffuse baldness
- Scars from trauma, burns or previous surgery
- Good general health, compatible with microsurgery under local anaesthesia
- Hair loss still active and not stabilised: the picture needs framing first
- Insufficient donor area: without healthy follicles to harvest we don't proceed
- Active alopecia areata
- Unrealistic expectations about the number of grafts available
What happens, week after week.
- 24 – 48 HRS
Mild redness and swelling. The newly implanted follicles are very sensitive: don't touch or rub them.
- 7 – 10 DAYS
Small scabs form around the grafts. They fall off on their own within one or two weeks: don't remove them by hand.
- 2 – 4 WEEKS
The implanted hairs shed temporarily (shock loss). It's not a failure: the root stays alive under the skin and will regrow.
- 3 – 6 MONTHS
The new hairs start growing back, thin at first. Month after month they thicken and gain body.
- 9 – 12 MONTHS
The result is final: thicker, natural, permanent hair. You cut and style it like the rest.
The rules that make the difference.
- 01Stop anticoagulants only if your doctor tells you to
- 02No alcohol or smoking in the 48 – 72 hours beforehand
- 03Avoid caffeine on the day of the procedure
- 04Wash your hair without gel, spray or styling products
- 05Report chronic illnesses, allergies and ongoing treatments
- 01Don't touch or rub the treated area in the first 24 – 48 hours
- 02Sleep with your head slightly raised to reduce swelling
- 03Wash your hair only with the products and timing the clinic indicates
- 04Let the scabs fall off on their own, without scratching
- 05No sport, sauna, pool or direct sun for the first two weeks
An assessment, in Italian, free of charge.
Send us a photo of your head in natural light (front, profile and nape) via WhatsApp. The doctor looks at it personally, tells you whether FUE is the right technique for you and how many grafts you need.
